Self Funded Residencies at Back Lane West

Back Lane West is a non-profit, artist-led residency and project space in Redruth, Cornwall. Established in 2009, our aim is to support critically engaged contemporary visual art practice and artists’ professional development.

Central to this is our commitment to developing regional, national and international networks of exchange, discussion and opportunity through our month-long, self-funded residency programme.

We have several opportunities available throughout 2027 and are looking for artists eager to test ideas, challenge their practice and activate the space.

If you’re interested, please send a short expression of interest and a link to your website to [email protected].

A small participation fee of £250 per month contributes towards overheads. Although access is available 24/7, please note that BLW is non-residential and we cannot offer accommodation.

We look forward to hearing from you!
